About the Role:
An exciting role has arisen as Financial Analyst in the Finance department and the main duties and responsibilities as follows:
- Participate in the Month End closing with the Finance sections.
- Prepare P&L performance analysis for management and coordinate monthly business reviews with all departments.
- Assist in the budget preparation and coordination between finance and all departments.
- Prepare the forecast and related analysis report for DOF and GM approval.
- Participate in the monthly Regional monthly report meeting with DOF and GM.
- Prepare ad hoc report as and when requested by DOF or GM.
- Prepare and analyse operational analysis such as productivity report by department, flow through analysis, trend analysis, and any statistical report.
- Prepare an executive report benchmarking against industry norms and proposing corrective actions.
- To ensure the department follow the Uniform System of Account for the Lodging Industry.
- Prepare quarterly the Internal Control self-assessment for the Finance Directive and following up on the corrective actions.
- To assist departments with their queries on P&L.
- To assist Finance Manager in ensuring all the P&L have correct postings.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel functions.
About you:
In order to be considered for the role you must have the following:
- Previous Accounting experience (minimum 2 years) preferable
- Experience within a hotel environment is desirable but not essential.
- Micros and Opera knowledge, Sun System and Hyperion will be an advantage.
- A budget officer; who has managed and performed a full budget cycle.
