Job Descriptions:
The jobholder will be
required to manage the sales function within Commercial Products Dubai –
Dubai Stop Over division (DSO). The focus of the role will be to create new
and nurture existing business opportunities by dealing with global partners
(DMC’s, travel agents, tour operators, etc.) and Emirates direct channels
(call centre, town offices, airport operations, Skywards, etc.…). The Dubai
Stop over program, which is an integral part of the Airline offering to its
passengers and key to the expected growth of Dubai’s tourism. The product
sets EK apart from its competitors and highlights Dubai as the ultimate
stopover destination by offering exclusive products and experiences.
Lead, plan and manage
the activities of the DSO sales & operations, appraise and assess
performance of partners and emirates direct channels in order to maintain a
smooth day to day operation, whilst ensuring that customers are properly
serviced and the department’s service levels are met.
Achieve annual sales
targets, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and responsible for
planning & executing promotional activities to enhance business through
all sales channels.
Continually review
the internal systems & trade/commercial developments of the travel shops,
trade agents & contact centre and suggest appropriate modifications can
be made to the sales & operations policy in order to improve efficiency.
Plan, train, motivate
and develop the sales team of the travel shops, outstations, contact centre
and trade agents to ensure high productivity of the staff. Benchmark retail offices against other
similar business activities and make recommendation for enhancing and growing
the DSO business.
Liaise with country
management, Emirates HQ departments and Emirates contact centres offices to
continually review and challenge processes, share knowledge, best ideas and
practices in order to continually enhance the department’s process to
maintain high efficiency and profitability.

Degree or Honours
(12+3 or equivalent)
Experience:
8+ years experience
of selling within the travel industry with experience of working in a team
leader/management role
